Organizing Clothes in Drawers

I have a quick little tip I have been doing for years and I wanted to share with you. I have so many ideas I do that help us stay organized and I thought they might help others also.

I put all the clothes…

up on the end so you could see everything in the drawer at on time.

Sometimes I have the kids take the clothes from the left side and then I put the clean clothes on the right. This way the clothes are rotated and if there is something they don’t wear for a while or is too small it gets pulled from the drawer and this helps keep things neater.

Does it stay this way? LOL! Some of the kids are really good about it. Others, I don’t understand why they have to pull out several things and then maybe they get shoved back in the drawer???

  1. I have tried this and it seems hard for them to get the items back in neatly, especially if they are thin like t-shirts. Do you find this works better after a certain age or it just depends on the kid?

    1. I do have to straighten them from time to time for the younger 2 kids. The older kids hang all their shirts so it is really just their pants and shorts. I still think it is the idea of rotating the clothes that help keep it straight, because the clean neatly folded clothes are all put on one side and they take from the other side of the drawer.
