When was the last time you changed your air filter on your furnace? Changing the filter is really important. Your furnace and air conditioner will run better and more efficiently if you change the filter
once a month. This will save you money on your gas and electric bills. (Not to mention heat and cool your house better.) We change our filter on the first of the month.
If you have air conditioning, make sure you change it all year round. We don’t run our air-conditioner so we don’t change it all summer long and we have to remember to change it in the fall, and as you could tell this one was long over due. Yuck!
Some furnaces have filters that just need to be washed and put back in. Check you owners manual on how to change or clean your filter. It is really easy on most furnaces once you know how.
Check your filter now so you don’t forget and se what a difference it makes both in you temperature of the house and on your bills.

I just bought my first house and I am completely lost when it comes to air conditioning and furnace repair. My furnace doesn't seem to work as well as I think it should. I didn't know that you should clean your furnace filter once a month. Thanks for letting me know! I will give that a try and hope for the best. I am just glad I figured this out now and not when I really need it.
