This is one of our favorite Christmas cookies! They are easy to make, are always a hit, and the kids love helping. Although we usually eat healthier, we do splurge once in a while!
First preheat the oven to 170 degrees, then arrange pretzel rounds on a cookie sheet or jellyroll pan.
Unwrap the Hershey’s Kisses and place one in each pretzel. The kids love helping with this part. (And always want to eat some along the way.)
Place cookie sheet in the preheated oven and “bake” for six minutes.
Immediately upon removing from the oven, place one M&M on top of softened Hershey’s Kiss.
Now is the hard part for me, to just have a couple. Enjoy!
Here is the complete recipe!
Chocolate Pretzel Cookies
- 1 bag pretzels rounds
- 1 bag holiday M&M’s plain (red & green) (Use other colors for other times of the year.)
- 2 – 3 bags Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Kisses
Directions
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
- Place pretzels on waxed paper-lined cookie sheets. (I used a greased pan which didn’t work as well.)
- Unwrap Hershey’s Kisses and place one in each pretzel, press until chocolate fills the pretzel.
- Place cookie sheet in the preheated oven and “bake” for six minutes.
- Immediately upon removing from the oven, place one M&M on top of softened Hershey’s Kiss.
- Let cool until chocolate hardens. You may place entire cookie sheet in refrigerator until cookies are set.

I have never heard of pretzel rounds. Where do you find them?
ReplyDeleteWe bought them at Aldi and Jewel this year. I only look for them at Christmas time. I know they only sell them at Aldi at this time, I am not sure about the other stores. I think this is a seasonal item.
