Valentine Meal for the Family

Happy Valentine’s Day!
My children really like to have meatloaf, so today I made 4 recipes, in two 9x13 pans and then used a cookie cutter to make it into heart shapes. The little ones loved it!

And as a special treat my girls made these cookies.

I thought this was so unusual. This heart shape was the only snow left on our patio. So I decided to make a Valentine out of it.

Heart Shaped snow for Valantine's Day

Here is the recipe for the meatloaf.
Meatloaf
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4  cup chopped onions
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
2 Tablespoons parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
Mix all together and bake for 1 1/4 hours then add the topping and serve.

Topping:
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Combined and simmer in a pan for 10 minutes.

I hope you had a nice day.

What did you do special for your sweet hearts?

  1. Finally trying this tonight! Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see a temperature, so I'm going to try 350*... Hope it turns out! Thanks for sharing!

    1. 350 is what it should be cooked at. Sorry, I forgot to put the temperature.
