Hi, everyone, I have been MIA! I have been getting our home school year going, which takes a lot of extra time. The first few weeks are always very time consuming. Getting everyone use to new subjects and schedules. Things are getting a little more settled. Nothing around this house is ever SETTLED! LOL!
This past weekend we went …
…to pick apples at a near by apple orchard. With the early warm weather last spring and another frost, late, several of the apple buds were killed off and the price of apples around here are outrageous. Are the price of apples high by you also? We love to go as a family to get apples and our favorite kind of apple is Jonathan.
Three of our boys were working. So this is the clan that we took with us. We had so much fun!
This is our daughter, Elisabeth, from Beauty Blondie, who got engaged last week, to a very wonderful gentleman, on September 7, 2012. We are proud to have him part of the family. They will be getting married next year sometime. Check out her blog for more information about all the wedding plans.
This is our 15 year old, Hannah, who helps me out the most with the little ones and keeping the kitchen clean. She broke her arm last week so it is a little hard for her now. We have had so many broken bones through the years. I guess our odds of having broken bones is a lot higher than the average family.
Rachelle, she loves to cook and bake. I know she will be making some of our famous Apple Crisp. A post to follow I am sure!

We love our girls! The one on the right is our son’s friend.
This orchard has a little shop that we bought some freshly made apple cider and some smoke string cheese. The orchard even has animals that the kids could feed.
This is less than half of the apples we picked! Fresh picked apples taste so delicious!
